Temporary Read Aloud Guidelines: Effective Until July 1, 2021

Redleaf Press is committed to the authors and illustrators who create our books and to the readers who love them. The power of stories connects and comfort us. During this unprecedented time, we want to ensure our authors’ and illustrators’ works are protected without being prohibitive.

We will permit you to livestream and post readings of Redleaf Press/Redleaf Lane children’s books online for your students and patrons, subject to the following. By posting a reading, you are agreeing to these terms:

As educators and librarians, you may use any Redleaf Press/Redleaf Lane title in the following ways until July 1, 2021:

  • Please note at the beginning of your recording that you are reading “with permission from Redleaf Press”.
  • You may perform a video or audio live-stream read-aloud of any Redleaf Press/Redleaf Lane title through private groups or platforms such as offered by Facebook, Zoom, or the like. Post a video or audio recording of a teacher or librarian reading any Redleaf Press/Redleaf Lane title through a private platform. Videos may include a video capture of the picture book as it is being read.
  • If you or your students and patrons do not have ready access to a livestream or private platform, then you may use a public platform like YouTube. Please take the additional step to make the settings non-public (e.g., “private” or “unlisted” so you can share the link with your intended audience).

We would like to hear from you about what titles you have chosen to read using this permission. Please fill out this form to tell us which titles and authors/illustrators you'll be sharing.

If you follow these guidelines, you don’t need to ask for separate written permission from Redleaf Press. But if you have questions, you can also direct questions to CustomerService@RedleafPress.org.

We ask that after this limited permission expires on July 1, 2021, you delete or disable access to all videos or recordings of Redleaf Press/Redleaf Lane titles.

Purchase Orders
Purchase orders cannot be accepted on web orders. Purchase orders will be accepted on your agency letterhead or a purchase order form. Email customerservice@redleafpress.org or fax purchase orders to 800-641-0115. To establish credit, organizations and institutions must pay the first order in advance or contact us with references for approval. Standard payment terms are net 30 days. Minimum order for purchase orders is $25.


Bulk Discounts

Shipping
Orders are usually processed and shipped in 24 hours. Within the Continental United States, orders are shipped by UPS or USPS, which may take 3 to 5 business days. See the chart below for shipping and handling charges.

Alaska, Hawaii and US Territory, orders are shipped by USPS Priority Mail service, which may take 3 to 4 business days or longer, depending upon the destination.


Customers with shipping addresses outside of the US, including Canada, are solely responsible for all duties, import taxes and brokerage fees. These are not included in the cost of shipping or handling of your order. Sales Tax
The appropriate sales tax will be charged to all customers in the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington and Wisconsin. If your organization is exempt from paying sales tax we must have current documentation on file. Please email completed forms to our Customer Service department by email customerservice@redleafpress.org. Let customer service know when your order is placed so they can remove the tax from your order and send you a receipt with the tax removed.

Prices, terms, discounts, shipping fees, and availability are subject to change without notice.


Satisfaction Guaranteed
Your complete satisfaction is our goal. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return your materials within 30 days for a refund, credit, or exchange (some restrictions apply to software, web-based products, and dated materials).


Returns
Most products in their original condition can be returned within 30 days when accompanied by a copy of your invoice. All bundled products/sets must be returned with all components for a refund. Exceptions: software, web-based products, e-books, and date-sensitive materials are non-returnable. If you received a defective item, we will happily exchange the defective item with a new copy of the same product. Items that are damaged or do not have an invoice may be denied a refund or exchange. To ensure proper credit, please pack carefully.

Back Orders
Orders with items on back order will be accepted and are shipped as soon as the products are available. Back ordered titles along with the shipping charge will not be charged until the product is available for shipping.
